Check external payment form requirements

Different acquiring banks can set different requirements to the payment forms you are hosting. However, there is a minimum set of rules all payment forms must follow.

Every payment form must contain:

1. The legal address and company name in the footer.
2. Visa and Mastercard logos in the footer (optional logos: 3DS by Mastercard and Verified by Visa).
3. A payment descriptor that concludes the transaction (for example, all payments will discretely appear as abcdefg.xyz on your customer's bank statement).
4. Clickable links to "Terms & Conditions", "Refund", and "Cancellation" policies. Note: the "Refund" and "Cancellation" policies may be part of "Terms & Conditions". In case they are not, separate clickable links are a must.
5. A clickable checkbox, by ticking which the users confirm their consent with the "Terms & Conditions", "Refund", and "Cancellation" policies.
6. The product description and billing type (one-time, monthly/weekly recurring).
7. The transaction currency and amount, including the amount due at the time of purchase, as well as the amount and date due for each recurring transaction.
8. Cardholder data:
   • Cardholder name
   • Card number
   • Card expiration date
   • CVV code
   • Country
   • ZIP code

Missing data on Country and ZIP code values can cause not only a wrong VAT calculation but can also have a negative impact on conversion rates.
